Scrap Our Stash Sketch Challenge #26

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's sketch challenge #26.  The picture is of me and my best scrapping buddy, at this year's Crop and Create in Moncton. We had an amazing time!!! Part of this challenge was to make handmade flowers. A perfect challenge for me! Using dies from Spellbinders, I cut out some flowers, spritzed them with water and then crumpled them. Once dry I layered, shaped them and then added some bling to the center.  I also fussy cut some flowers from the pattern paper and popped a couple of them up.

For the background I splattered some distress paint around the page and using the cap from the paint, stamped some circles around as well.

The pattern paper I used was from My Mind's Eye 'Cut and Paste' collection. I finished the page with a fair amount of stitching and some bling.

Below is the sketch and be sure to check out Scrap Our Stash's blog. Hope you liked it and thanks for stopping by.

Sketchabilities #139/ Scrap Our Stash #26 Stash Challenge

Hey everyone. I've been away for abit but am back with a few layouts to share. I finished this layout at a crop I attended last weekend. It was hosted by My Stamping Studio in Windsor. What a weekend we had!!! Lots of fun and great ladies. Highly recommended for sure!!  This is a school photo of my daughter when she was in grade one. That evil little look sums her up pretty well!!  I used two challenges when creating this page.  The sketch was the #139 sketch from Sketchabilities. I also took part in Scrap Our Stash's #26 Stash Challenge. For this challenge you had to include an item from your stash for each letter in the word emboss.  I used the following:

E: evergreen bough distress paint
M: My Mind's Eye pattern paper
B: buttons, border punch
O: oval chipboard frame
S: stencil, stain (distress)
S: stitching, Sam

For the background, I applied some distress paint through a stencil. Once it was dry I spritzed it with water and applied some distress stain.  Once this was dry I splattered more distress stain.

The flowers were made from an EK Success punch. The little white ones were from Maya Road.  The greenery was cut from a Sizzix die.

The oval chipboard frame was also from Maya Road. I  painted the frame with distress paint and covered the oval part with paper.  The pattern paper was from My Mind's Eye 'Now and Then Milo' collection.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.
