My Creative Sketches October Sketch

Hey everyone. Here's my take on the October sketch from My Creative Sketches.  The picture is the annual, in front of the tree pose, of my daughter, niece and nephew.  The pattern paper, canvas diecuts and resin flowers are from Fancy Pants' 'merry little Christmas' collection.  I applied a thin coat of gesso to the background to soften it abit.  Some stitching and bling completed the page. Below are some close ups and the sketch.

Sketchabilities #126/ Scrap Our Stash November Stash Challenge #20

Hey everyone.  Here's my take on Sketchabilities sketch #126 and the November stash challenge at Scrap Our Stash. The picture is one of my daughter with her fourth year presentation. Alot of time and hard work went into the project and she did very well with the presentation.  Below is the sketch and challenge guidelines.

  "Countdown" Stash Challenge:

Create a layout and you must include the specific items and quantities on the list below:
5 ~ Patterned Papers
4 ~ Stickers or Cardstock Stickers
3 ~ Numbers
2 ~ Stamps or Rub ons
1 ~ Paint or mist
**Note you can use more than, but not less than the quantity mentioned of each item.
Each item only counts once..for example if you use numbered patterned paper, you cannot count it as one of your (5) patterned papers and as one of your numbers.
You are also allowed to add anything else you desire to complete your layout.

For the 5 pattern papers, I used Prima's 'School Memories Collection'.  I used 3 word stickers from My Mind's Eye and alpha and number stickers from Glitz. There are numbers on the wooden ruler (Maya Road), the little trinket pin (Tim Holtz's Ideology), and in the title. I used 2 stamps to make the enjoy the journey label. One stamp for the label and the other for the saying. For the mist, I poured some distress stain in a mini mister and made some drips and splatters.  Below are some close ups.

My Creative Sketches' September Sketch

Hey everyone. Here's a layout created from My Creative Sketches' September sketch. The picture is an oldie of my daughter. It's her first time on horse back, and when she caught "the horse bug". It's never left!!! The supplies used, came from the Crop & Create Delivered Fall 2014 kit. For the background, I used one of the custom stamps from the kit. I then splattered some distress stain.  For the banner, I punched some circles and then folded them over the twine and popped them up.

Sketchabilities Sketch #124

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created based on Sketchabilities sketch #124.  I used the 'Jubilee" collection by My Mind's Eye. It's definitely one of my favorite collections. For the background, I sprayed some distress stain and then splattered some color wash.

I used a styrofoam cup to stamp the circles.

The little flowers were fussy cut from pattern paper.

My Mind's Eye October Sketch Challenge

Hey everyone. Here's my take on My Mind's Eye sketch challenge for the month of October.  I used the pattern paper, label stickers and flair button from their 'Jubilee' collection. The colors matched perfectly with the pictures of my daughter and her boyfriend, posing in the sunflowers in our garden. For the background, I applied some modelling paste with a Tim Holtz stencil. I then sprayed some distress stain on the page and splattered some color wash.

The flowers were cute from a piece of pattern paper.

I couldn't resist adding this adorable, little wood veneer bird from Studio Calico.

Below is the sketch. Be sure to check out the blog at My Mind's Eye. There is always a ton of inspiration found there.  Thanks for stopping by.
