Love This Little Face

Hey everyone. Here's my take on September's tic tac toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I dug deep into my stash and found a 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey called 'Bowties'. Because of the name, I then decided to make a little bowtie from a Sizzix die.

For the background I used Vicki Boutin's art crayons from American Crafts. I used the packaging technique to apply the color. I am also getting the hang of my Cameo, and using a cut file from JustNick, I was able to create the large, open title. For the challenge I used a diagonal row: cork, ruler and circle. The cork hearts were from American Crafts. The washi tape ruler and saying was from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, and the flair button from Cuts2Luv. Below are some more close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

So Sweet

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrappers' sketch #309 and the tic tac toe challenge at The Studio Challenges. This, unfortunately, will be the last challenge at Creative Scrappers, so I would like to say thanks to Kristine for all the wonderful sketches and good luck with whatever the future holds!! For this layout of my little grandson, I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio's 'You Rock' collection. What a great line for boys. The embellishments are unreal. I also used my Silhouette for the first time and cut out the title. For the tic tac toe challenge I used the vertical column in the middle as well as a diagonal row.  Below are some close ups, the sketch and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Home

Hey everyone. Here's my take on this month's sketch/word challenge at Scrap Our Stash. The photo is  of my daughter and her little family, outside their home on Mother's Day.  I used Simple Stories' 'Domestic Bliss' collection for this layout. The little ribbon flower was from Maya Road.

For the background I used Prima's Tropical watercolors. I mixed the blue and green to make this beautiful teal color. The navy was a distress ink from Ranger. For the word part of the challenge I used the following:

T : thread, Tropicals watercolor from Prima
R : ribbon flower, Ranger distress ink
A : alphas
V : vellum
E : ephemera, enamel dots
L : Lawn Fawn twine

Below are more close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out the SOS blog for lots of great inspiration!!

Little Charmer

Hey everyone. Here's my reveal for Scrap Our Stash's July sketch/word challenge (I'm a little late). It's another layout of my adorable little grandson. I have to say these word challenges are making me look deep into my stash, which is a good thing. For the word challenge I used the following:

F: Fancy Pants
I : 'I Am' collection wood veneer
R : Ranger ink spray
E : enamel dots
W : washi tape
O : orange art crayon
R : ruled journalling tag
K : kraft flag
S : stickers

I used Fancy Pants 'Good Fellows' collection which was absolutely perfect. The little kraft flag was from Maya Road, the plaid flag was made from washi tape and the orange one was made from pattern paper.

The background was made by using the packaging technique with art crayons. Make sure to check out the SOS blog for a ton of inspiration. Below are a couple more close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

The photo is of my niece and her boyfriend exploring the river that runs along our property. I also used the word on the lower left of the page. Sweet 16

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's July Tic Tac Toe challenge. The photo is my niece celebrating her 16th birthday with the family. Hard to believe she's 16 and driving!!! Time is going by way too fast!! For this layout the paper and all the embellishments were from Fancy Pants' 'Life is Beautiful' collection. For the challenge I used the row on the bottom: striped paper, tag and banner. The striped paper is hard to see. It is above the yellow scalloped border and was visible until I covered it with embellishments. The sketch that inspired this layout was from Stuck?!Sketches. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Boy

.

Hey everyone. Here's my take on this month's tic tac toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash. The photos were the first ones taken of my new grandson. Thrilled to bits to have him to kiss and cuddle. I will admit I had some trouble with this challenge. I finally decided on the top row: color red, buttons and ribbon. The pattern paper, stickers and ephemera were from Photo Play's 'About a Little Boy' collection. This line is so cute!! I absolutely love it. This layout was also inspired from a layout seen on Pinterest from Sweet Shoppe Designs. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.
