Happy Little Moments

Hey everyone. Here's a layout based on Scrap Our Stash's May sketch plus 3 challenge. The photos are of my daughter holding the first duckling hatched at her new home. To say she was excited is an understatement!! The items I used for the challenge were metal (paper clip), nestabilities (circle), naples yellow and olive (leaves in pattern paper). The pattern paper, chipboard frames, wood veneer, stickers and decorative clip were from Simple Stories' 'Life in Color' collection. Below are some close ups and the challenge. Thanks for stopping by.

Documented

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created for the May 6th sketch at ScrapMuch? The picture is of my daughter taking a "nice picture" for me....... and she thought I wouldn't scrap it. Jokes on her!!! The pattern paper, buttons and word sticker was from Bobunny's 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection. I didn't follow the sketch closely. The parts that inspired me were the large hexagon and the triangular arrangement  of heart embellishments. For the flowers, I first stamped them on cardstock and painted them with several layers of distress ink. I stamped the ink on my craft mat and sprayed it with water. The flowers were dried between each layer of ink. This creates a nice water color effect on the flowers. Below are some close ups and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

Do What You Love

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Stuck?!Sketches May 1st challenge and the May color challenge over at ScrapMuch?, a new blog for me. The pattern paper, tag, puffy stickers and flair button are all from the 'Attwell' collection from Fancy Pants. I do love Fancy Pants!!!! The rosette was made using a die from Sizzix. The multi-colored piece of pattern paper was perfect, as it contained 5 of the colors in the challenge (navy blue, powder puff pink, almost red, robin's egg and sunny yellow). For the background, I sprayed some water on the paper before splattering the ink, creating more of a water color effect. Below are some close ups, the sketch and the colors for the color challenge. Make sure to take a look at the blogs.  Lots of inspiration to be found. Thanks for stopping by.

Come Fly With Me

Hey everyone. Here's a layout I created for Stuck?!Sketches May 15th challenge. The pictures are of my daughter and I on Mother's Day. The pattern paper and chipboard buttons are from Bobunny's 'Beautiful Dreamer' collection. The flowers were made using Heartfelt Creations' stamps and dies. The chipboard circles behind the photos, was an older peice from Pink Paislee's Luxe collection. I used beads from Craft Medley for the centers of my flowers and I also scattered them randomly around the page. Below is the sketch and some close ups. Thanks for stopping by.

Smile

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Creative Scrappers sketch #294. So happy Kristine is back!!! This blog is one of my favorites. So much inspiration can be found there!! I mixed things up alittle and instead of using circles, I used heaxagons. I also used a tag for journaling instead of strips. This layout was also inspired by Creative Embellishments' May challenge. I was inspired by the bird in the picture and decided to create a layout about my daughter's obsession with ducks. The twist was to use feathers. There are feathers in one of the pattern papers and using dies from Spellbinders, I cut out 3 feathers and layered them near the title. The chipboard hexagons and title are also from CE.

The pattern paper, flair button and small tag were from Fancy Pants' 'Attwell' collection. Below is the picture inspiration and the sketch. Thanks for stopping by.

You & Me

Hey everyone. Here's my take on Scrap Our Stash's May book inspired stash challenge. The big heart on the book cover inspired me to create this layout of myself and my daughter. I also added a little pink heart near the title. The other part of the challenge was to use flowers. I made the flowers using Spellbinders Rose Creations dies.

The pattern paper, diecuts and flair button were from Fancy Pants' 'Flutter' collection. The circles were stamped using styrofoam and plastic containers.  The sketch I used was #148 from Sketchabilities.  Thanks for stopping by.
